How To Use Your Superpower
I just finished hands down, the best class of my life.
I’m feeling a lot of things right now: inspired, motivated, SO PROUD... I’m freaking electric with energy! At the same time I’m also tired AF (and I didn’t lift anything!), I’ll definitely be having a nap after this.
To provide a bit of context, it’s testing week at our gym and today was deadlift day.
I stood in a room where one at a time women lifted insane amounts of weight. Weight they had not lifted before and in some cases, weight they had never thought they’d be capable of lifting. These women were lifting almost twice their body weight and some actually did more!
How did they do this? They used their superpower.
As each of them stepped up to the bar, every other woman in the room sent vibes and words of encouragement their way.
As the weight plates stacked up and the lifts became harder, the music got louder, the words of encouragement became wild screams and the women became stronger.
There’s no way to describe it other than fucking magic.
When they were pulling that bar from the floor it was as if every woman in the room had a hand on the bar with them, helping them lift it.
We were sharing our power at full force and if you could bottle that shit up it would be more powerful than any supplement or drug.
When you’re on the receiving end of that power, your will becomes an indestructible force. The weight feels lighter and the win feels so much more meaningful. There’s nothing like it.
So to my Women of Treign... now you know.
When you step into that room you have a fucking super power.
It doesn’t just work during testing week, it works whenever you need it. So use it when you see a sister battling with a heavy ass weight, or struggling to breathe during a tough Elevate workout, or when you know she needs some extra encouragement to make it to the gym after a long day at work.
Share your power with her and in return, she’ll share hers with you.
Because what’s the point of having a superpower if you don’t use it?
